Senator Chambers' Final Day

Today was Nebraska Senator Ernie Chambers' final day in the Nebraska State Legislature. He is hailed as a once in a lifetime lawmaker, and the longest serving state senator in Nebraska history. He represented North Omaha's 11th district and is a lifetime activist for the black community. He was presented this statute of Chief Standing Bear from the Tribal Chairman of The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, as he is an honorary tribal member. Senator Chambers is, and always will be, #WithThePeople. ❤️
